Simon is an Advisor to large international Banks (both in Retail and Corporate), to Insurance businesses, to Challenger Banks and to FinTech startups. He engages with his clients to help them define and strategise their Digital future and how to take advantage of this disruption.
Simon’s experience includes: Director in KPMG’s Advisory business; leading a unit in Digital Banking, Innovation and FinTech. Simon was the Digital Strategy Director for Lloyds Banking Group working in Retail and Insurance where he defined and led the Group’s Digital Strategy and Innovation inclusion; and prior to that was with Accenture.
In Accenture he made Equity Partner in 2000; Simon worked in the Customer and Distribution space in a number of blue-chip firms and was a solution strategist, value architect and implementer in all aspects of Customer, Distribution, Digital, and Innovation.
Simon has deep experience in defining and communicating customer, distribution and digital strategies, architecting the solution components and then leading the delivery of the IT and/or business change programme.
Most of Simon’s experience is in Banking, where he has worked for over twenty years and has worked for a number of UK High Street Banks both in the business and in IT. He has strong credentials in helping them to define business and IT strategies and their execution.
Simon has an extensive network across the globe with start-ups, innovators, entrepreneurs and network providers that truly offers speed and value to large corporates. Simon has written articles in the Times, the Financial Times and The Banker. He has chaired and presented his insights at conferences across Europe. He also mentors a number of UK FinTech startups.
